What a great band/show 5/5

I stumbled into Saibt-Ciboire by accident on Friday last week. Though my friend called me we were meeting elsewhere I convinced her to come by because the band was really great.

The lead singer I believe has Parkinson's disease, but once he got going he was fantastic. The played all original stuff except for an old Beatles cover of Long Tall Sally. My boyfriend who is a Beatles junkie said that he band played it the original key of G. Robbie seemed to show no signs of strain in this tune, powering out all the high notes.

I haven't heard any of the other tunes so I assume they were originals but they were all great. My favorite's were called, I think, I'm Sorry and The Ballerina. My husband seemed to dig into what he keeps calling The Poor Fella. He has been singing since we left the Pub that night.

Also, Robbie seemed pretty beat after the set but I was talking to the other band members who says there is usually 5 more of us. 4 horns and a pianist. I can't wait to see a show with everyone.

5 Stars Fellas, great show!

The Dangerous Crayons? Color me Impressed!!! 4/5

I was lucky enough to catch these guys at Pub St Paul not so long ago. I popped into the St Ciboire show but was dissapointed to find no horns. It was probably a room issue, it's kind of a small stage. The lead singer wasn't as on the ball as he was at St Paul but certainly held his own. I talked to him a bit after the show and he had a pretty heavy cold.

They are working on getting into the studio to record some new stuff. Good luck boys!

A different sound 4/5

Agreed! This band was not only tight, but unique. My daughter is here for Christmas and we went out for a drink and were surprised at the energy these guys have. My daughter said that she read about this Robbie Tucker guy in Canadian musician and yes, he does in fact have Parkinson's disease. He also has started his own foundation or organization, I'm not sure what you call it but she couldn't remember what i was called. I did a quick search in Google and believe it is mapmusic.org.

When and where can we hear more from these guys??!!
